1: It started when I read that space probes experience temperatures near absolute zero. Nobody at NASA seemed concerned. I was concerned. 2: The first prototype was a simple ribbed tube cozy for a Mars rover's mast. Knitting for a robot you'll never meet is surprisingly meditative — no fittings, no complaints, no feedback of any kind. My best client. 3: Current status: four cozies complete, zero delivered. Postage to the heliopause is apparently "not a service we offer," which feels like a failure of imagination on the courier's part.
